Apple Takes Action on Copycat Apps
Inside Mobile Apps reported that Apple has removed copycat apps by an app developer from the App Store. This action represents some new action on the part of Apple to manage the quality of apps in the store and prevent blatant app copying. While the responsibility for protecting an App, which is intellectual property, belongs to the owner, since the App Store, Android Market and Amazon App Marketplace are all managed and require submission, it's encouraging that there is some action being taken. Considering that many Apps are developed by small or one person developers who wouldn't be likely to afford an attorney, this is encouraging. Read more about this at Inside Mobile Apps.
