Golden Nugget 102: Improve Cell Coverage with Wi-Fi Calling
If you have weak cell service at home, work, or while traveling, turn on Wi-Fi Calling. Your phone can use a Wi-Fi network to make and receive calls instead of relying only on a cellular signal.
Why It Helps
Wi-Fi Calling can improve call quality, reduce dropped calls, and help you stay connected in places where cell signals are weak but Wi-Fi is available.
How To Do It
On iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Tap Phone.
- Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
- Turn on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone.
- Follow any prompts from your carrier.
On Android
- Open Settings.
- Tap Network & Internet, Connections, or Mobile Network (the name varies by phone).
- Look for Wi-Fi Calling.
- Turn it on.
- Follow any carrier setup instructions if prompted.
Bobology Boost
A strong Wi-Fi signal can turn a frustrating "Can you hear me now?" call into a crystal-clear conversation. π±πΆβ¨
