We’ll cover the steps to connect it to Social Media sites including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, how to add “widgets,” choose and change templates, and use other options to customize your blog. You’ll learn how to prevent objectionable comments from displaying on your blog, and get tips on how to come up with ideas for content, promoting your blog, making money with affiliate programs, and how to use your blog for selling with PayPal. This class will cover what goes into a successful iPhone app, how to find a market for your application, getting your app on the iTunes store and how to market and promote your app. Get information on how to develop your idea for an app and learn about new tools for making apps with little or no programming experience. iPhones, iPads, and I’m Lost
Today’s iPhone® and iPad® do so much more than simply make phone calls or send text messages. With either of these new devices you now have a computer, Web browser, eBook reader, personal organizer, and more — all in your hand! In this entertaining class, you will learn how to set up your iPhone® and/or iPad® for email, texting, WiFi networks, and Bluetooth and how to best sync with your computer using iTunes®. You also will discover how to take terrific photos and send them to friends, install apps, and figure out the best apps to make your iPhone® and/or iPad® smarter. One session 3 hours.
iPhone and iPad Bootcamp
Join us for a full day hands-on session where you'll get to know your iPhone or iPad inside and out. This class is designed for people who can perform tasks such as downloading apps and are familair with basic touchscreen actions, and want to learn how to become power users of their iPhones and iPads. You'll learn "hidden" touch screen actions and how to manage your network settings for WiFi, Cellular, and Bluetooth. After taking this class you'll know how to master your contacts, calendars, and mail settings, and understand the many synchronization options and settings including iCloud. Then on to working with customizing your iPhone/iPad settings for notifications, privacy, Twitter, and Facebook, and more. This class is hands-on and also includes practice with the Camera, Photos, Reminders, Maps, Safari, and a review of media options from NewsStand, iBooks, Podcasts, and iTunes U.
NOTE: This is a B.Y.O.D. class, but we can't always guarantee that WiFi is available. Users with WiFi only iPads may not be able to access the Internet, but this is not a class requirement.
